Protective Orders: the IEDs of Family Annihilating Lawfare

Protective Orders are like IEDs in the hands of terrorists. They can (and regularly are) be issued "ex-parte" without hearing for (in Texas) 20 days and renewed in 20 day increments. In this case, Travis County's inexplicable denial of one after Heidi's arrest and abducting Harlan, and two subsequent incomprehensible ones issued to (recently arrested abductor Heidi) .

Carroll County District Court

Ex-parte PO issued without notice and never served. While dismissed after hearing, implied credibility to a new judge MAY (or not) have influenced the 200th District Court's incomprehensible denial of the PO that would have prevented Heidi's death and saved Harlan. Either way, it was the foundational lie lending false credibility that allowed 3 more ex-parte POs that abetted Harlans abduction.

Carroll County Circuit Court

Issued by a different court 3 weeks after prior denial on the claim of new evidence of abuse. Denied a week later, with a) no basis for emergency jurisdiction (Heidi made no allegation of abuse to Harlan, even when pressed) and b) no geographic jurisdiction with the specific findings of Heidi and Deborah's testimony was not credible.

The transcript, unavailable until December 2023, is the second "smoking gun" -- showing Heidi made no allegation of abuse to Harlan, she admitted to jurisdiction shopping, violated every aspect of the Travis County standing order (prima facie Custodial Interference). Also that after Heidi returned to Austin, it was Deborah who took Harlan (unknown whether Heidi consented, was under duress, or was even aware at the time)
